The Tennessee Whiskey Experience: Nashville Bus Tour

The Itinerary

DEPARTURE: 11:00 AM

Downtown Nashville near the Omni hotel.  The address is 250 Rep. John Lewis Way South.  Meet near Bob’s Steakhouse. No waiting in the rain, cold, heat, etc. We promise.

RETURN: 5:00 PM

Our tour visits and tastes at three distilleries. We’ll make sure to hit a local favorite restaurant for lunch as well! We rotate distilleries, but we’ll be sure to pick the good ones.  Read about them below.

THE TOUR

As the first state to pass a Prohibition law, Tennessee’s distilleries in the hills and hollers basically owned the market from 1838 until 1933, when the 21st Amendment to the US Constitution was finally passed and ratified. Pa risked his life to buy it and Ma snuck it in her coffee (for medicinal purposes, of course).

This Nashville whiskey tour is your chance to experience (and taste!) Tennessee’s unique history first hand!

Climb aboard, sit back, and sip on some amazing whiskey from some of the best distilleries along the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. This Nashville bus tour takes you to three local-favorite distilleries. Compared to our other tour offerings, the Tennessee Whiskey Experience is shorter, requires less time on the bus, and allows you to sample more whiskey. The Tennessee Whiskey Experience tour is one of the best activities for adults in Nashville!

“Such a great experience. Definitely worth the price! You can drink in the [bus] and the driver was really nice. We learned so much about whiskey and have found a new appreciation on the process of whiskey making after this tour.” - Kharizza L., TripAdvisor Review

The Distilleries

NELSON’S GREEN BRIER DISTILLERY

A family-run distillery reopened after being dormant for nearly 100 years.  The Nelson brothers are on a mission to bring back the bustling whiskey business that was once bigger than Jack Daniel’s.

CORSAIR DISTILLERY

The most innovative distillery in town, Corsair won Whiskey Advocate’s 19th Annual Artisan Whiskey of the Year Award with their Triple Smoke.  Ever tasted Quinoa Whiskey?  It a thing. They play by their own rules…and that’s a good thing.

COMPANY DISTILLING

This quaint operation housed in an old grain barn 35 minutes south of Nashville is the first legal operation in Williamson County in a century. In addition to whiskey, their gin is something to be admired.

NASHVILLE BARREL COMPANY

This hip and modern location sources and blends some of the best barrels of whiskey from all around the country. They are one of the most highly awarded Nashville whiskey brands, and were named Tennessee Blender of the Year in 2024.

NASHVILLE CRAFT DISTILLERY

Founded by a former DNA scientist, this spot puts a scientific spin on their tours. You’ll walk away with a lesson in chemistry, biology, and maybe even history and linguistics. Don’t worry-there’s whiskey involved and there is no test at the end!

LEIPER’S FORK DISTILLERY

Nestled near the darling town of Leiper’s Fork, this is the type of place you journey to on a Sunday afternoon drive. The setting is idyllic, and the tasting room housed in a 200-year-old reclaimed log cabin is astonishing. It helps that they make amazing whiskey!
